Reports have it that gunmen killed a clergyman, Apostle Ranti Ige -Daniel, of the Royal Assembly Sanctuary, Lagos at Isanlu community in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The incident occurred on Thursday ,when he attended a revival crusade. He was abducted with three others between Idofin and Makutu road, a few kilometres to Isanlu, the headquarters of the local government.
Shortly after the revival crusade at Isanlu, he was killed on his way for a burial ceremony. A source revealed that they shot the clergyman when he ran into their barricade around 8:30pm.
After shooting the man, the gunmen abducted the other three people which includes a woman that is believed to be his fiancee.
Rev. Dr. Francis Iselowo, who is close to the family of deceased, stated that Apostle Ige-Daniel and the other three were going for a burial ceremony at Isanlu when the gunmen attacked them.
He said, “Your life was snatched in a dastardly manner with three other people still in the captivity of the terrorists. I heard that the kidnappers were asking for N10 million per person.”
