On Thursday, a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra, Jude Emecheta said that he is best candidate to replace the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah in the Senate, who was representing Anambra South Senatorial District.<\/p>\n
Immediate past Managing Director of the Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Jude Emecheta stated that his major concerns for Anambra State are security and development.<\/p>\n
He noted that none of the aspirants were addressing the major concerns of the state which is in relation with Governor Soludo\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n
Emecheta said, \u201cI have reviewed the profiles of other aspirants, and no one is focusing on tackling insecurity or promoting the development of Anambra South. Soludo can only develop Anambra if the state is secure.”<\/em><\/p>\n He further emphasized that the security of the state will be his major concern if he is being elected. He condemned the other aspirants for focusing on distributing constituency handouts rather than major issues at hand that is detrimental to the state.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cRice, yams, motorcycles\u2014these are not what Anambra South needs. We need security, which will attract local investment and sustainable development.”<\/em><\/p>\n Concerning his friendship with the former factional national chairman of the APGA, Edozie Njoku said, \u201cI cannot deny him, but I\u2019ve attempted to stop his actions against APGA, with efforts known to both former National Chairman Dr. Victor Oye and current Chairman Barr.
