The early hours of Friday, the 2025 budget presentation was suspended by the Ogun State House of Assembly until further notice.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued by the Clerk, Sakiru Adebakin announced the development but he did not give the reasons for such postponement.<\/p>\n
Adebakin said, \u201ca new date for the presentation of the annual budget would be announced later.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Sources have it that the legislature had to delay the presentation because Governor Dapo Abiodun was on a trip to France.<\/p>\n On Friday, he posted on his X handle, saying, \u201cI had the honour of joining the Nigerian delegation to welcome His Excellency, President @officialABAT, during his strategic meeting with President @EmmanuelMacron at the Palais des L\u2019\u00c9lys\u00e9e in Paris.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cDuring the discussions, President Tinubu emphasized Nigeria\u2019s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with France, particularly in key areas such as food security, energy, solid minerals, education, and defense.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cHe highlighted Nigeria\u2019s immense investment potential, especially in agriculture, the blue economy, and youth development, inviting deeper collaboration between both nations.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The early hours of Friday, the 2025 budget presentation was suspended by the Ogun State House of Assembly until further notice.
