The governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule has urged the northern leaders to stop exploiting Almajiri system for political gains.<\/p>\n
He made this statement while speaking at the flag-off ceremony of the regional conference on population dynamics, security, climate change, out-of-school children\/Almajiri, and vulnerable children in Nigeria.<\/p>\n
He emphasized on the need for education and economic empowerment in the state. He encouraged the leaders to address Almajiri system and put a stop to it. He described the system as being detrimental to the nation if it is not addressed.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cThe Almajiri problem is indeed a huge problem for us. I think, just as I told my colleagues in Kaduna during our last meeting of the Northern governors, I said we should stop complaining.
