On Tuesday, during a tribute event in Makurdi, Benue State, Vice President Kashim Shettima was there to honour late Wantaregh Paul Iyorpuu Unongo, a former Minister of Steel Development in Nigeria\u2019s Second Republic.<\/p>\n
The prominent statesman passed away at the age of 87, on November 29, 2022. The events will last for a week and on Saturday, he will laid to rest in his hometown, Unongo village, Kwande Local Government Area.<\/p>\n
In his tribute, Shettima said, \u201cWe gather here not just to mourn the passing of a great man but to celebrate the monumental life of Wantaregh Paul Iyorpuu Unongo.
