The wife of the Zamfara Governor, Hajiya Huriya Dauda-Lawal has agreed to shoulder the responsibility of caring for the breast cancer patients.<\/p>\n
This development was made public by the wife of Zamfara Governor during a cancer awareness campaign in Gusau on Monday.<\/p>\n
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that she led the awareness rally which started from the Government House to General Hospital Gusau.<\/p>\n
She said, \u201cToday, we walked together in solidarity, proclaiming that \u2018No one should face Breast Cancer alone\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWe stand united in support of those affected, honouring the strength of survivors and the memory of loved ones lost.”<\/em><\/p>\n She further noted that with the support of Governor Dauda-Lawal, the cancer patients have been selected for surgery.<\/p>\n \u201cI am proud to announce that my office has sponsored free breast cancer screening and lumpectomy surgery to 100 carefully selected women, ensuring access to life-saving care for those who need it most.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cLet\u2019s march forward, hand in hand, towards a better future to support every individual facing breast cancer with hope, encouragement, and victory in the state.”<\/em><\/p>\n At General Hospital Gusau, the governor’s wife donated \u20a63.5 million for free screening and surgery for the breast cancer patients.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hundred selected breast cancer patients would undergo free screening and lumpectomy surgery in the state with the help of Mrs Dauda-Lawal.
