{"id":13817,"date":"2024-10-29T14:23:43","date_gmt":"2024-10-29T14:23:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.news.naijatraffic.ng\/?p=13817"},"modified":"2024-10-29T14:23:43","modified_gmt":"2024-10-29T14:23:43","slug":"senate-postpones-the-screening-of-the-ministerial-nominees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.naijatraffic.ng\/news\/senate-postpones-the-screening-of-the-ministerial-nominees\/","title":{"rendered":"Senate postpones the screening of the ministerial nominees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, the Nigerian Senate declared the postponement of the screening of seven ministerial nominees that was appointed by President Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n<p>The seven ministerial nominees include; Muhammadu Dingyadi (Labour &amp; Employment), Jumoke Oduwole (Industry, Trade and Investment), Nentawe Yilwatda (Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction), and Bianca Ojukwu (a state foreign affairs).<\/p>\n<p>Others are Yusuf Ata (State, Housing and Urban Development), Idi Mukhtar Maiha (Livestock Development), and Suwaiba Ahmad (State Education).<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, Senator Basheer Lado stated that it was necessary that the screening was postponed.<\/p>\n<p>It will aid the nominees to complete their documentation. It was shifted to Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 12noon prompt.<\/p>\n<p>The title of the statement released is \u201cPostponement of ministerial screening\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It reads: \u201cThe scheduled screening of Ministerial Nominees has been postponed by the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is to allow all nominees to conclude all aspects of documentation and pre-screening exercises.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, the Nigerian Senate declared the postponement of the screening of seven ministerial nominees that was appointed by President Bola Tinubu.
