The Presidency has responded to the former President Olusegun Obasanjo\u2019s alleged claim that President Tinubu came into office without a plan.<\/p>\n
Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi, stated that former President Obasanjo sees himself as the saviour of the country capable of rescuing it from challenges.<\/p>\n
He stated that President Tinubu is implementing economic reforms to create a substantial environment which President Obasanjo initiated and left halfway.<\/p>\n
In his X handle, Ajayi connected Obasanjo\u2019s interview with News Central Television, stating that President Tinubu lacks plan unlike President Obasanjo who had plans but could not implement it.<\/p>\n
Ajayi posted, \u201cA video of former President Olusegun Obasanjo\u2019s interview with News Central Television has been trending on social media platforms for the past week.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cIn the interview, the former President, in a veiled reference to the current administration, said Nigeria has a President who came into office without a plan.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cYet, the same \u2018planless\u2019 president is implementing a bold economic reform programme that Obasanjo initiated and abandoned mid-way.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cDespite his foibles and messianic complex, former President Obasanjo is no doubt a remarkable leader. His administration opened the economy and implemented essential reforms that his immediate successor should have continued with.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWhat most critics find offensive about the former president is how he sees himself as the only saviour God created for Nigeria.
