President Bola Tinubu has announced to Nigerians to make their choice between purchasing fuel at N1,000 per litre or compressed natural gas (CNG) at N200 per Standard Cubic Meter.<\/p>\n
It was during the meeting at the State House in Abuja with the executives of the Nigerian Independent Petroleum Company (NIPCO).<\/p>\n
In a statement issued by the spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, stated that, \u201cNigeria\u2019s motorists can buy petrol at N1,000 per litre or equivalent gas per Standard Cubic Meter at N200. We have also introduced incentives for commercial motorists to convert from petrol to gas\u201d free of cost.”<\/p>\n
The president also appreciated the NIPCO for their assistance towards the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGI).<\/p>\n
\u201cPresident Tinubu reaffirmed his administration\u2019s commitment to providing a conducive environment for private sector investments and expanding Nigeria\u2019s CNG infrastructure to enhance energy efficiency and economic growth.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cHe further encouraged NIPCO to continue its innovative approach to CNG expansion while supporting the government\u2019s broader goals in the energy sector.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cMr Ramesh Kasangra, NIPCO director, who led the delegation, thanked President Tinubu for his steadfast support of the CNG sector.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cHe expressed NIPCO\u2019s commitment to furthering the partnership with the government to ensure Nigeria\u2019s energy transition remains on track.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cHe assured the president that the company was ready to invest in infrastructure to make CNG more accessible nationwide.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cAccording to him, NIPCO has been a key player in various sectors of Nigeria for over four decades and will continue to believe in Nigeria for the long term.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" President Bola Tinubu has announced to Nigerians to make their choice between purchasing fuel at N1,000 per litre or compressed natural gas (CNG) at N200 per Standard Cubic Meter.
