Bawinile “Winnie” Ntshaba, was born on September 1, 1975, is a prominent South African actress best known for her portrayal of Khethiwe Buthelezi on the SABC 1 soap opera Generations.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Ntshaba developed her acting talents at the University of Natal (Durban). Hailing from Kwa-Zulu Natal, she was encouraged by her older sister to pursue higher education, ultimately earning a BA Drama Honours degree from the University of Natal (Durban).
In 2000, she relocated to Johannesburg, where she engaged in educational and industrial theater with AREPP Shoe String Productions.
CAREER
She began her acting journey in the 2000s and reached a significant milestone with her role in the film Yesterday.
She later appeared in the 2004 TV drama Jozi Streets and received acclaim for her supporting role in Yesterday.
Ntshaba’s first leading role was in the 2004 film Shreds and Dreams. Since 2005, she has been a significant presence on Generations.
In 2013, she established the Royalty Soapie Awards and hosted the inaugural event in Durban.
In 2015, she, along with 15 other cast members from Generations, was dismissed for participating in an illegal strike.
Following her departure from the show, Ntshaba featured in Mzansi Magic’s “The Road” and MTV’s “Shuga.”
She made her return to television in 2018, portraying Mam’Ngadi in the drama series “The Herd” on Mzansi Magic, as well as Mam’Lihle in “Isithembiso.”
In 2021, she became part of the cast of the eTV drama series “House of Zwide,” portraying Faith Zwide, the manipulative wife of Funani Zwide.
PERSONAL LIFE
In 2005, Ntshaba started dating SABC cameraman Thabo Modise, and they got married in 2006.
Their son, Phenyo Modise, was born on July 9, 2007. However, they divorced in 2013 after seven years of marriage.
