Walta Anga, was born on January 12, 1978, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
He is the third of five children born to Stephen and Evelyn Angapukotanka.
He spent his childhood in the Ogu-Bolo local government area of Rivers State, growing up in the riverine region of Southern Nigeria.
For his education, Walta Anga earned his West African Senior School Certificate and his First School Leaving Certificate in Rivers State.
He then pursued higher education at the University of Port Harcourt, enrolling in 1998 and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts in 2002.
After completing his studies, Walter Anga embarked on his acting career, securing his first supporting role in the Nollywood film “Labista,” which starred actors such as Ernest Asuzu, Emma Ehumadu, and Jerry Amilo.

In 2003, Walter Anga made a successful return to Port Harcourt, where he met renowned actor Nonso Diobi and esteemed director Ifeanyi Ogbonna.
