Temitope Christopher Tedela, better known as Tope Tedela, a talented actor and producer, was born on June 5, 1990, in Nigeria.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

As the eldest of four siblings with roots in Ekiti State, Tedela grew up in Lagos, where he attended Lagos State Model College in Meiran for his secondary education.

He later earned a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos.

During his time at university, he made his acting debut as Julian in the family TV series “Edge of Paradise.”

After taking a break from acting to focus on his studies, he worked as an on-air personality at UNILAG FM before returning to the screen as Lala in the film “A Mile from Home.”

He also served as a news anchor at NTA and participated in various stage productions.

CAREER

Tedela gained recognition for his leading role in “A Mile from Home” in 2013 and continued to demonstrate his talent in projects such as “A Soldier’s Story” and “Out of Luck” in 2015.

His performance as Kyle Stevens-Adedoyin in the 2016 comedy “Suru L’ere” received widespread acclaim.

In 2017, he featured in popular films like “King Invincible,” “Ojukokoro,” and “Slow Country.”

He also ventured into producing, making his debut with the drama thriller “What Lies Within.”

Tedela’s versatile acting career encompasses a wide range of roles in both films and television series.

In 2018, he appeared in the crime film “Knock Out Blessing.”

The following year, he took on the role of Dr. Dauda in “The Lost Okoroshi,” a film that received acclaim at the Toronto International Film Festival.

He also explored theater with his one-man show “Whumanizer” and delivered a standout performance in “The Ghost and the House of Truth.”

In 2020, Tedela joined a Nigerian series on Netflix, collaborating with the esteemed director Akin Omotoso.

Most recently, in 2022, he portrayed Dr. Adeboye/The Good Doctor in the Netflix original series “Blood Sisters.”

In 2016, Tedela was appointed as an ambassador by Global Rights to spearhead a campaign against sexual violence in the country.
