“Piracy is killing us. worked so hard, on this project” – Funke Akindele Cries

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has expressed her concerns about the rampant piracy in the film industry.

The box office sensation, who is preparing to launch her latest film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, in theaters on December 13th, called on Nigerians to reject piracy.

She emphasized that filming movies in cinemas constitutes piracy and implored individuals to put an end to it, as it is detrimental to their industry.

Funke highlighted the immense effort and resources she has dedicated to her new project and continues to invest in it. She concluded her message by asking people not to support piracy.

“SAY NO TO PIRACY!!!

Recording short videos at the cinemas is piracy!!!
Please stop it!!!
Piracy is killing us!!
I worked so hard, on this project. Please I’m pleading do not be caught promoting piracy!!!

A lot of resources were and are still being invested in the movie Everybodylovesjenifa. Again, do not be caught encouraging piracy. Thank you”.
