EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Hailing from Hammarsdale in Natal Province, Nomcebo attended Ukusa High School before earning a degree in information technology from Havatech College.
CAREER
With over fifteen years of experience as a backing vocalist, she honed her craft while working with artists such as Deborah Fraser, Zahara, Lundi Tyamara, and Nhlanhla Nciza.
After signing with Ganyani Entertainment, Nomcebo contributed her vocals to tracks like “NTO,” “Jabulile,” and “Emazulwini,” the latter of which received a nomination for a SAMA award.
Her major breakthrough came in 2019 with the worldwide hit “Jerusalema,” in collaboration with Master KG, which climbed to the top of the Billboard charts following a remix featuring Burna Boy.
In August 2020, she released the lead single “Xola Moya Wam” from her debut album, featuring Master KG, which quickly achieved gold certification in South Africa.
The album, titled *Xola Moya Wam*, reached platinum status within a month of its release, selling over 150,000 copies.
Nomcebo received recognition at the inaugural KZN Entertainment Awards and was nominated for Best Dance Album at the 27th South African Music Awards.
She further broadened her audience with a European tour in July 2021 and made a television appearance on the *Love and Hip Hop* franchise later that year.

In addition to her music career, Nomcebo enjoys a loving relationship with Selwyn Fraser, with whom she has two children. Together, they have created a nurturing and inspiring family dynamic.
