Kgaogelo Moagi, better known as Master KG, was born on January 31, 1996. He is a versatile South African DJ, singer, and record producer.
Hailing from Tzaneen, he gained significant acclaim with his debut studio album, “Skeleton Move,” which won him the AFRIMA Award for Best Artist/Group in the African Electro category.
Additionally, he is renowned for his influential role in bringing the “Bolobedu” dance style into the spotlight.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Master KG, who grew up in Calais Village, Limpopo, embarked on his musical journey at a young age.
At just thirteen, he started creating beats on a computer that was a gift from his late uncle.
CAREER
His entry into the music industry began when he teamed up with DJ Maebela, and together they explored music production using FL Studio software.
In 2016, after refining his craft, he released his debut single, “Situation.”
After signing with Open Mic Productions, Master KG rose to fame with his hit song “Skeleton Move,” featuring Zanda Zakuza.
His debut album, also titled “Skeleton Move,” was released on September 21, 2018, and included collaborations with various artists such as Makhadzi and Team Mosha, showcasing his singing in his native Khelobedu language.
Master KG’s success continued with the worldwide hit “Jerusalema,” released in December 2019 and featuring Nomcebo Zikode.
The song received international recognition, leading to a remix by Burna Boy and earning him numerous awards, including accolades at the MTV Europe Music Awards and the African Muzik Magazine Awards.
He also secured a record deal with Elektra France, further establishing his position as an emerging star in the music industry.
Master KG collaborated with David Guetta and Akon to release the single “Shine Your Light” on May 26, 2021.
He then embarked on the Jerusalem Live Concert Tour in the UK in September 2021, joined by Zanda Zakuza.
On December 3, 2021, Master KG launched “Dali Nguwe,” featuring Nkosazana Daughter, Basetsana, and Obeey Amor, which quickly rose to the top of the Local Radio Chart Top 100.
Looking ahead, he is working on a joint album titled “Makhelwane” with Nkosazana Daughter, set to be released in July 2024.
PERSONAL LIFE
Previously, Master KG and musician Makhadzi were rumored to be in a relationship.
They rekindled their romance at the beginning of 2022, celebrating Valentine’s Day with a Kulakwe-themed event.
However, their relationship ultimately ended in 2023.
