KIRS seals Max Air, Dantata over unpaid taxes

The Kano State Board of Internal Revenue Service (KIRS) has taken action against the Head Office of Max Air Limited for failing to pay the tax of over N190 million Pay As You Earn (PAYE) with other liability tax from 2012 to 2017.

The Director of Debt Management and Enforcement of KIRS, Madam Ibrahim Abdullahi, explained that after several attempts have been made to communicate to the company, they had to obtain a court order before the closing the companies.

The agency also closed the office of Dantata and Sawoe Construction Company situated along Zaria Road for the unpaid tax of over N241m and other tax liabilities.

The director of the agency further noted that they obtained a court order before the closure of the companies which will be unsealed when they remit the unpaid taxes.

He assured that public that KIRS will ensure revenue increment for the state.
