EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Originally from the North, he has gained prominence for his distinctive style and impactful lyrics.
He operates under his own YFK Entertainment label and has already left a significant mark in the music sector with his first album “Voice of Arewa”.
His popular single “I Am North” challenges stereotypes and has been praised for its bold message.
Kheengz, a talented artist from Zaria, Kaduna, and raised in Bida, Niger, belongs to the Kadara ethnic group.
As the third child among six siblings, he pursued a degree in Civil Engineering at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria.

CAREER
He began recording in 2010 while at university, gaining attention with covers of hit songs by artists like Sarkodie and Ice Prince, which caught the eye of M.I Abaga.
In 2013, Kheengz released his first mixtape “College Kid Mixtape,” featuring collaborations with respected rap artists such as M.I Abaga and Erigga.
The track “Jealousy” received significant acclaim. He later dedicated a video titled “I Believe” to students who tragically lost their lives at the College of Agriculture in Yobe State.
Following the success of his mixtape, Kheengz launched his EP “VOA (Voice of Arewa)” in November 2015 and later followed up with “Pedestal EP” in December 2017.
He continued to make a statement with his music, including the empowering track “I Am North,” which aimed to challenge prevailing stereotypes about Northern Nigerians.
Kheengz unveiled his breakthrough album “Voice of Arewa” on December 25, 2019, also known as “Voice of the North.”
The impressive project features collaborations with renowned artists like Erigga, DJ AB, DJ Steev, Ijaya, and a remix of “Alhamdulillah” with Ice Prince in 2019.
In a display of unity, Kheengz teamed up with northern rap heavyweights DJ AB, Deezell, and BOC Madaki for the EP “The Four Horsemen,” released on December 26, 2020.
Exploring exciting new territory, Kheengz dropped the single “Who be This Guy” featuring Falz and M.I Abaga on June 4, 2021.
