Kate Henshaw sparked controversy after responding to a woman who preferred dating internet fraudsters over hardworking, legitimate partners.
In an interview, the woman revealed her preference for dating Yahoo boys, citing their lavish spending and love for nightlife, which aligns with her own desires. She also expressed disdain for the traditional expectations of working-class men, who often want their partners to stay at home, a lifestyle she insists is not for her.
“Working class go tell you to dance or make you dey cook for am. Most of the guys are Yahoo and young; it’s all these old men that are working-class, like 30 and upwards are working class. But, you cannot see any guy of 20-something that isn’t pressing. I prefer Yahoo Boys because they have a club vibe. A working-class cannot take you to the club; Yahoo boys will carry you to the club. Working class will tell you to stay at home and cook, and I don’t like stress”.
Kate Henshaw condemned the woman’s views, warning that her attraction to Yahoo boys and materialistic lifestyle could lead to dangerous consequences, potentially even ritual sacrifice, due to her misguided priorities.
“Na so dem go take pieces you for ritual. Yeye mindset”.
Although some people agreed with Kate Henshaw’s warning, others criticized her for seemingly linking the woman’s lifestyle choices to a deserving fate of violence or harm, rather than condemning the perpetrators of such crimes.

Kate Henshaw previously sparked online controversy with her Father’s Day post, where she quoted the Bible and honored responsible fathers, wishing them God’s strength, favor, and blessings.
Her Father’s Day message was criticized for perceived hypocrisy, as she specifically acknowledged only responsible fathers, whereas on Mother’s Day, she had extended greetings to all mothers without conditions, leading some to accuse her of holding fathers to a different standard.
Kate Henshaw responded to the criticisms by asserting her right to express herself freely on her personal timeline, saying she can post as she wishes. She further addressed her detractors, stating that she won’t let their negativity impact her enjoyment of life and that their name-calling doesn’t faze her.
