Dare Melody, a Nigerian gospel singer, has expressed his heartfelt grief over the passing of his beloved wife, Adedoyin Odunuga (née Odagi).

At a wake keep held in his wife’s honor, Dare Melody reflected on her passing, saying he strives to balance his present and future. He recalled telling his late wife to accept him, flaws and all, as a human and musician, acknowledging the imperfections that come with his profession.

“I try so hard for my today not to spoil my tomorrow. I used to tell my late wife, whatever you hear about me, we are musicians and we are human. Accept me as I am. My wife, Adedoyin, was a very truthful and honest person, and I am also very truthful. I don’t know how to lie. I used to mend people’s homes but when the storm came, I couldn’t fix my own home”.
