On Tuesday, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded at Orlu International Market in Imo State, which killed two people and injured the others.
According to the reports of the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Henry Okoye, the two individuals that was reported dead were the ones handling the device when it exploded.
It was also reported that they may be assembling the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) before the explosion.
He said,“It was an IED that exploded. The Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, has deployed Anti-Bomb operatives to the scene.
“Two persons who incidentally were the hoodlums were killed in the process of setting up an IED and in the process, it exploded.”
PPRO Okoye urges the residents to be conscious of the things happening around their environment.
