Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum appoints Dauda Iliya as his spokesperson and Special Adviser on Media.
This development followed after the death of Mallam Isa Gusau who served as the governor’s spokesperson until his death.
In a statement issued by his SSA on New Media, Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, the governor has officially approved the appointment of a new spokesperson and media adviser.
Dauda Iliya hails from Kwaya-Kusar Local Government Area in the southern part of the state. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English Linguistics from the University of Maiduguri after which he obtained his masters in 2024.
He is presently the chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Borno chapter. He worked as a reporter for federal radio corporations before his appointment.
