Armed Forces retirees shuts down Ministry of Finance

On Thursday morning, Nigerian Armed Forces retirees closed down the Federal Ministry of Finance.

The Association of Military Pensioners protested because the government have failed to pay the salary increase of 20% to 28% to retirees from the month of January to November 2024.

They expressed concern on how the Federal Government have failed to pay up their salary that have lasted for months.

The retirees listed out their demands which comprises of the payment of palliatives starting from the month of October 2023 to November 2024, additional payment increase of N32,000 added to the pension.

Also, the refund of money that was removed from pensions of medically boarded soldiers and Security Debarment Allowance (SDA) payment was included.
