EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Born to Osei Poku and Susana Appiah in Accra, Appietus comes from Aduman in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
His musical journey began in childhood, where he experimented with various objects to create sounds.
With encouragement from his father, he received his first toy piano and started learning to play instruments at different churches.
In 1995, he began studying the fundamentals of sound engineering at Fredima Studios in Adabraka, Accra, laying the groundwork for his successful career in music.
CAREER
Appietus further honed his sound engineering skills at several studios in Accra, including Fredima Studios and Kay’s Frequency.

In partnership with COPILOT Music and Sound, he contributed to a cover of Carlinhos Brown’s “Maria Caipirinha (Samba da Bahia)” for Visa’s “Samba of the World” campaign during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

This initiative was a forward-thinking response to the changing dynamics of the music industry, as Appietus recognized the need for production support among emerging rappers.
Motivated by his interactions with aspiring artists seeking his mentorship, he developed the idea of highlighting and cultivating the most promising talents through his innovative show.
