Naijatraffic Award Criteria
The Naijatraffic Awards celebrate the achievements of Nigerians and African entrepreneurs, businesses, organizations, and brands who have made significant contributions to society. Eligible nominees include any individual, business, or organization that is registered with the proper authorities in their nation. While we welcome nominations from all sectors, we are particularly interested in recognizing musicians, content creators, entrepreneurs or brands who have excelled in their respective fields.
Please note that Naijatraffic Limited reserves the right to cancel any category or not select a candidate for any reason. In the event that a category is canceled or a candidate fails to receive actual notice of cancellation, Naijatraffic assumes no liability.
The decision of Naijatraffic in all Award categories is final and binding. We encourage all Naijatraffic members and audiences to nominate their favorite candidates, and winners in all categories will be decided through a combination of audience voting and merit-based selection. This award honors a man’s excellent achievements in any sector or industry over the calendar year. The ideal recipient would have shown extraordinary attention and commitment to their profession, greatly contributing to the growth and development of their industry or nation.

This award celebrates the successes recorded by an individual in the business environment. The ideal winner must have achieved a certain level of business success that serves as an inspiration or a model to other businesses across the industry.
Young Entrepreneur of the Year
This award recognizes the accomplishments of new entrepreneurs as they navigate the business world. The ideal winner must have reached a degree of company success that serves as an example or inspiration to other businesses within the industry.
Artist of The Year
This award celebrates the outstanding achievements of a musical artist in a calendar year. The ideal winner must have demonstrated exceptional skill and creativity in producing musical compositions that are both commercially successful and critically acclaimed.
Song of the Year
This award category recognizes the most outstanding musical composition in a calendar year. The ideal winner must have produced a musical composition that has received significant commercial success and critical acclaim and has become a fan-favorite.
Album of the Year
This award category recognizes the most outstanding musical album in a calendar year. The ideal winner must have produced an album that showcases exceptional skill in musical composition, lyrical content, and production quality while also receiving significant commercial success and critical acclaim.
Next Rated Artist
This award category recognizes the most promising musical talent in the entertainment industry. The ideal winner must have demonstrated exceptional potential for success in the future and must have produced musical compositions that have received significant commercial success and critical acclaim.
Best Song & Sound Recording Artist
This award honors a musical artist’s excellent efforts in making the best song and sound recording in a calendar year. The ideal winner must have shown outstanding competence in generating commercially viable and critically acclaimed high-quality sound recordings.
Best Afro Pop Single
This award category recognizes the most outstanding afro-pop single in a calendar year. The ideal winner must have produced a musical composition that showcases exceptional skill in fusing African rhythms with contemporary afrobeats or pop music while also receiving significant commercial success and critical acclaim.
Best Hip Hop / Rap Single
This award category recognizes the most outstanding hip hop/rap single in a calendar year. The ideal winner must have produced a musical composition that showcases exceptional skill in lyricism, flow, and production quality while also receiving significant commercial success and critical acclaim.
Best Collaboration

DJ of the Year
